Julia Gillard's long standing involvement and even leadership of various extreme-left organisations does not stack up with her statement that 'it was all a long time ago'. The truth is, IT IS ONGOING. Why does she deny this? What she is asking the public to believe is that she has abandoned all these beliefs that she has held for all of these years. Beliefs which undermine capitalism, defence, education, marriage and even ANZAC day.

The Fabian Society (effectively a re-badged version of The Socialist Forum) believes that the ideal way to transform a society into a socialist state is via government, community and education, rather than by revolution. The Socialist Forum cleverly changed its name to the Fabian Society, to make it more palatable to ordinary citizens, and to allow its aims to be achieved by stealth.

With Bob Brown holding the balance of power in the Senate, and Ms. Gillard in the House of Representatives, the only thing we would be 'moving forward' to is some sort of socialist utopia - compromising our democracy, hard won prosperity and freedoms.
